    The only record found of Stewart Fambrough in Virginia was when he and Robert Weakley Jr. and Thomas Parker Jr. witnessed a deed from Robt. Weakley, Sr. to Robert Fambrough on April 5, 1794 (Halifax Co 16i p 401)

    Stewart Fambrough received two grants from Tennessee on the waters of Sulphur Creek during 1809, Nos. 24693 and 6899 and one grant as assignee of heirs of Roger Topp also in 1809, No 6898. Then in 1815 he received another Tenn. grant No 24694. These four are recorded in Tenn. Archive records. Samuel Weakley surveyed grants Nos 6898 and 6899. It was on this Sulphur Cr. property where Stewart Fambrough lived and died.
    It was while Fambrough was living on the Harpeth River land that he was made Ensign in the 2nd Tenn. Regiment of Davidson County on Dec. 17, 1798.

    Note: Stewart Fambrough's will is proven by Robert Fambrough on April 27, 1816. Davidson Co. Minutes 1816-1819 p 6, Oct 24, 1816. Susanna Fambrough qualifies as Executrix of Stewart Fambrough, deceased. She gave bond of $1000, signed by Samuel Weakley and John Topp.
    Dav. Co. deed R p 409,July 17, 1827. Wm Fambrough, heir of Stewart Fambrough, dec'd sold to Orman Simpkins for $303.50 the four tracts of land which were granted By Tenn. to Stewart Fambrough.

    Text: The will of Stewart Fambrough is recorded on page 30 of Dav. Co will book 7. The original will paper is also on file and it was from the original sheets that this record was made. This is a digest and not a verbatim copy.
    I leave and bequeath to my beloved wife Susannah, the lands and stock for her use and for the benefit of raising my children or if she marries then only a childs part --- to son, William Fambrough, at age 21 to recieve all of my landed estate --- to daughter Jennyh W. Fambrough when she becomes of age to receive an equal childs part of the interest on moneys out at interest, and the balance to be divided to each of my children, as they become of age. Wife Susannah, Rogert heaton and Samuel Weakley, Executors. The will was dated April 6, 1816 and recorded June 15, 1816.
